Barefoot in the backyard

I love all of the holidays we celebrate in the winter, but I get such bad cabin fever.  All of this horrible cold, rainy, and grey weather has got me thinking about summer already.  Sometimes even when it's really hot outside, I love to soak up the sun, sniff the wind, and spread out in the grass.  Here's a few pictures that mom and dad took from this spring and fall while I was trying to relax.

Ok, so that was more than a few photos I guess.  You know, I totally need a "do not disturb" sign for when I just want to chill in my backyard.  Sheesh!  Here's to a day spent dreaming about the sun and fun of summer...

Love,
Payton

The third one is sooooo cute. I hear ya on the days of summer. We don't get snow much, but it's cold and rainy. Yuck. And our grass turns brown here. What's up with THAT?

Even in the winter we like to soak up the sun in the grass...as long as there's no snow on it...

Oh, those sunbeams look so nice to lay in! Although I do like the snow (in manageable doses), I could live without the rain. It's so hard to get in the right mind-set to "do your business" when you're soaking wet and freezing.

I like to lay the same way you are laying in #7 - where you're resting your head on your arm. Sometimes you just gotta improvise if a pillow isn't around. I mean, I can't truly get comfortable unless I can rest my head up on something.

-Love,
Sid.

P.S. I really like your pink tee-shirt!

You look very nice in the grass, and the pink shirt is quite attractive. Hope the weather gets better so you can enjoy the sunlight again:)

Payton, you are just wonderful. It gets cold and we can get lots of snow here in Idaho so we get the cabin fever also. We like it when Mom opens the blinds in the front room and we can bask in the afternoon sun that comes through the window.
lots of pug love,

P that looks like heaven! I too abhor the cold. BRRRRRR! I am boycotting going outside altogether in fact. Mom says I need an attitude adjustment. Pft. Coco waltzes out there like she is a Husky or something and makes me look like a ninny.
