Deep Thoughts...hobbits and pugs

At times, many of us pugs tend to resemble bats, Gremlins, Stitch from that Disney movie, and even sometimes our fellow dog pal, the Boston Terrier.  Sure we can even be cat-like on occasion, but in my opinion, we have a lot in common with Hobbits.  You know, those short creatures resembling humans in the J. R. R. Tolkien stories.  I've observed them many times as my parents seem addicted to the Lord of the Rings movies.

Here's my case.  Granted the physical similarities aren't outstanding, but we are both short and stocky.  Oh, and hairy (think feet).  We are not thought to be all that active or adventurous, but we certainly can be!  Well, I've saved the best for last.  Probably the most compelling likeness is our obsession with food.  Don't you wish we could eat SEVEN times a day?  Yes, thank you.  I'll have Breakfast, Second breakfast, Elevensies, Luncheon, Afternoon tea, Dinner, and Supper.

While I dream of living the life of a Hobbit, tell me what pugs remind you of most.

Love,
Payton

Payton you are so funny we love the idea of being like hobbits! Mmmm seven meals a day we can get on board with that. Sometimes day thinks we resemble froggys because we jump up at the parents for food.

Hi Payton,
Heavy heavy thoughts from you today. I think I look like Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty but My Mommy says uh-uh. She thinks I look like YODA when I am watching tv and like a BAT when I am being naughty.
Pugsonally, I don't see it.
Love Princess Noodles Aurora Briar Rose

When I flip on my back, my parents say I look like a wombat or troll. If eating 7 times a day is one of the perks of being a Hobbit, then sign me up! The most I've ever eaten in one day is 3 times, when Dad didn't realize Mom had already fed me - I call it "Double Dinner" - I need to figure out a way to make it happen more often. -Love, Sid

OMD..a Boston T. shout-out! Love it. Heck yeah seven meals a day. I'm all for that program. Although it would have to be something better than the horrible kibble we get.
Mom says I look like a skunk and Coco smells like one :) She ain't lying!

Ok, that pic of you with your pink bald tummy is TOO CUTE.

Mom is freaking out that you know about "elevensies"! One of Holden's favorite stories when he was a little guy was a book about table manners that mentioned elevensies!

WEEEEEEIRD!
