This is not a paid advertisement...

Since it seemed like the thing to do, my mom ordered me one of those Frogg Togg Chilly Pad/Towels (in hot pink, of course!).  Well, because today is so nice out (upper 70's to low 80's) and I needed more of my new grain-free food from a pet store in the city (St. Louis), mom and Gammy decided to take me out to lunch!  YEAH!  This was the perfect time to give the Frogg Togg a test drive.

It's amazing how cool it really gets.  The only down side is that it just doesn't stay on very well (especially with the harness and leash on), so we found the best thing was to put it on the ground to lay on.  Of course, with the prospect of food, I wasn't about to take a nap.  Overall, I'd give it 2 paws up!  Thanks to Sal, Mack, and everyone else that recommended the Frogg Togg Chilly Pad/Towel!

Ok, back to lunch...we went to the Boathouse in Forest Park.  It is so lovely there and very dog friendly.  I think there were at least 4 other dogs there.

me and Gammy waiting for food
me begging for some of Gammy's yummy fish and chips
The weather is supposed to be the same tomorrow so wish me luck in convincing them to take me out again!

Love,
Payton

Hi Payton,
My Mommy has the POOR MAN'S version of the chilly pad - a wet ShamWOW. It is amazing how cook it keeps and can be used a lot. And is safe for the washing machine. She tried pinning it on and tying it on - all to no avail. Then one day she put it over my back but UNDER my harness. It worked PERFECTLY. I can even go for a walk with it on! It shifts a little but is otherwise perfecto. Try putting your chilly pad under your harness next time the temps get too hot to bear.

I must get Momma to get one of these for me, in hot pink, of course! I've been hearing about them on all the blogs and I think I'll need one sooner or later. I'm like you, Payton - when there's food around I have a one track mind. Must be a pug thing!

Hi Payton!

Oh my goodness, I'm so going to have to get one! You look so cute in pink.

I'm so jealous that you went to Forest Park! Mom was St. Louis in October. Mom loves St. Louis.

Hugs,
Suki

We so happy you were able to get a Frog Togg Chilly Pad! Mack has one in blue and we use it a lot. Hu-mom uses plastic clothes pins to keep it on. and he likes to lay on his too! She said if she was resourceful, she would make a vest out of it. She do that yet!

Drools and licks,

I've got one of these on order. Sadly Canada Post is on strike right now so it may take a while to arrive. Can't wait!

YAY! We're so glad that you like your FroggTogg Chilly pad!!! Mom has been OBSESSED with them ever since her Pilates instructor had one in class! I prefer the BLUE one, but Mom always wants to rub me down with her PINK one! HAHAHAAA!

Stay cool Payton!!!!

Woo hoo! You went to the Boathouse! They have a Yappy Hour that Mom has yet to take me too because she always says "IT'S TOO HOT" but I'm tired of that excuse.

Where did you get your new food and what kind did you decide on? Mom gets mine at 4 Muddy Paws and I LOOOOOVE it there! They even gave us a nice donation for the pug rescue fundraiser! Hooray!

I'm going to have to have mom research this frogg togg thing!!

Later!
Vito

Hey Noodles - I'd love to see you with your Sham-Wow on - do you spike your hair up like the guy from the commercials? He he! - Love, Sid.
