Deep Thoughts...vacuums

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  Around the holidays, my mom is always cleaning more than usual, which made me think about the nasty sucking machine called the vacuum.  I for one hate them.  Do you chase it, bark at it, and bite it, or do you run away?  I follow it around and then when it gets close, I run.  So why do many of us feel threatened by them?  Here are my theories.
  • It's OUR job to pick up crumbs
  • Our peeps should focus on US, not cleaning, which leads me to...
  • There's NO reason to clean up the mess and stink we try so hard to create
So what are your vacuuming pet peeves?

Love,
Payton

PS.  I'm set for some awesome adventures, starting TODAY all the way until New Years Day!  I'll be sure to tell you all about them next week, in addition to some great Christmas fun, as soon as mom has a chance to get the photos together...and relax from all her hard work hosting over the holidays.

Well, Mom says she's allergic to vacuuming, so Daddy's the one who does it. When he gets going Mommy & I sit on the couch with our paws out of suckage range.

Yep, that sucking monster is horrible. Mack and I just head in the opposite direction quickly as possible. When we were younger we tried barking and chasing it, but nothing worked. It kept on coming!

Mack loves your picture on the fancy chair! So lady like, too.

Love you,
Minnie and Mack (XXOXOXOXOX)

Payton,
Every point you make is super valid!!
I used to bark and chase it, but now I just watch it go by. I'm not sure what changed, I guess I just realized it wasn't after me, my toys, or my mom, so I relaxed about it.

I Chase it down then run for my life! I growl and bark at the evil vacuum cleaner and bark some more! I'm glad that we all fear the vacuum and that its not just me! I like your deep thoughts posts, you look so cute in the photo, its very dramatic and regal looking! I see why you are so inspired on that chair! Lots of love, licks and Pug hugs from your friend and fellow vacuum dearer Frank x x x x x x x x x x x

Payton I do the same thing you do with that sucking machine, follow it until it gets too close and then run. Tucker is the strange one here. He doesn't mind at all if the silly thing is running, he isn't even afraid of it. But you let Mom turn it off and he goes into hysterics barking and attacking it until she gets it put back up.

Don't get me started on the vacuum! UGH. I find that I honestly can't stop myself from immediately lunging and barking at it. Mom of course makes me stop so I retreat to my under-bed lair to growl. Dang thing hurts my ears! It's obnoxious!! Coco has a thing with the swiffer (it fell on her once). We agree with you on all of your points. Forget the cleaning and focus on us (obiously more important).

my 'rents have a very small rug in the house, so I don't have to deal with that damn Dyson much, but the swifter is another story. I like to chase it and eat any lint/hair/fuzz/crumb that I can find attached to it! The 'rents complain that it's impossible to do anything with me around, I think they are just trying to not do it and use me as the excuse (think farting too!)
Payton, I say take that vacuum and she it who's boss!
Have great adventures and I can't wait to read all about them!

Well, I don't care about the vacuum, Brigitte likes to get on whatever Moms trying to vacuum, and Sluggo runs from it like the scared little baby he is! Havea fun adventure! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Well to be honests, I don't really cares abouts the vacuum unless it swallows up my toys then I panick. What I do get upset abouts is that stupid train mum has displayed under the tree. The minute she turns it ons I panick and run to find my toys.

You are so rights.... leave the kitchen cleaning to us pugs!

I hate the vacume Payton! I bark and charge at it- pretending I am a bull or something. Sometimes I even try to bite it! I get very close, but I can also run very fast away from it. Sometimes moms vacume in areas where the crumbs are, and I get mad. After all - those are my crumbs and are very important to me.
I cannot wait to hear about your adventure!

I'm totally with ya on that one. I don't like that vacuum either. All it does is suck up the fur I leave on the rugs, so then I have to shed more fur to cover the rugs again... it's a never-ending cycle.
