Potty Break

A break from my Porch Potty in the garage, that is.  I don't know about where you live, but here in the St. Louis area, our weather is broken.  The temperatures have been up and down so dramatically that we've had two really bad thunderstorms, one might have even produced a tornado!  Unfortunately, when the days have been warmer, it's either raining or windy and grey, so I haven't been able to take advantage of the mild winter...until finally one day in the first couple weeks of January the sun was out and it was in the 60's [Fahrenheit]!  So I got to take care of business outside instead of using my winter spot in the garage.

I love it outside and just get so restless when I can't patrol my yard and smell all of the interesting things in the neighborhood.  You won't believe it, but it was nice again just recently so mom surprised me with potty breaks outside AND a walk!  I'll post pictures from that later this week.

Love,
Payton

You look so "patroling" Payton. Lucky you !! Sun, and green grass and 60F sounds GREAT compare to our sun and snow and 10F :( We look forward to the spring !! Have a nice and warm week our friend :) love Fredzik, Zuzia and Pucia

Dear PaytonPuggy, this here is your good pal Howie. I'm glad you got out there to tell the neighbors and strange birds what for. That's an important job, plus peein' on inanimate objects. My maw is from St Louis and remembers 3 feets of snow. All I know is I never seen three feets of anything, and I think she is ready for the retirement home. Therefore, can I come to stay with you? Do you got a refrigerator? Answer soon.
Fondly,
PeeMan

60F !?!?! And you get to go potty indoor? No way, Jose!! Our humans toss us out the sliding glass door to the backyard no matter how cold it gets. So I pee on a rug to show them who the boss sometimes... Mama is mad at me....oh well, live with it !!

Hi Howie! My mom says that although we usually don't get that much white stuff, it is possible. She remembers a big winter storm in the late 80's that produced temperatures below zero! So I think maybe I should head south and stay with you! But if you must get away, we do have a fridge and an entire shelf in the pantry is all mine.

Payton

Hi Payton
Here in Sunny CA I always get to do my bidness outside in the yard. Sometimes it gets cold but never snowable cold. I am happy the weather warmed up enough for you to go out for a little P and Vitamin D. Our weather is kinda broken here too but that means we have lots of Springlike temps and sunshine. How can one be upset over that???

Hi Payton, sooo how does the garage potty thing work? Rupert and I have never lived where it gets really cold, so we have no idea about that kind of stuff. Sometimes it get too hot where we live and we have to stay inside during peak hours - we do a lot of evening walking on those days. :)

The weather sure is weird. The big dogs Bob and Norbert miss the snow, they love the stuff, pug the little guys are happier without it

uummmmm. mom said she is brain frozen, she could have sworn you lived in (or by) Chicago, IL.
She is making weird faces now....wrinkly forehead and squishy eyes.

Payton, it has been unseasonably warm here too. Today, I acted like I had to do business, when all I really did was go sit in the sunny sun.

Buddy, Payton lives on the Illinois side of St. Louis. She goes to Chicago regularly to see her PDE neurologist, hence the many photos in the Chicago area.

Hi Payton
I am sooooo happy that you got to go outside to go potty. It is fun on a nice day of course , but not fun on a cold day.
I like to find where the bears and coyotes peed in my yard, and then I like to pee in the same place. Do you have coyotes and bears visiting your yard?

The weather's broken here too. It just keeps raining... and raining.... and raining.... *sigh*

I am glad you've been able to get outside some though!

Hi Payton, you look so very happy, a break from that Porch Potty in the garage must have been wonderful, all of those smells you have missed out on, all those new places to "mark" and all the space to run around, get fresh air and choose where to "mark"!
I'm glad to hear that the temperatures have been better for you now, for me it is really cold, we just had snow and temperatures of -10C so I have to wrap up really warm! I love it outside, all the walks I have in the woodlands, the park and the lake, I too restless when I can't go outside! Well I really hope that you dont have a tornado or anything, I hope that it stays warm enough to go out more! Love, Licks and Tummy Rubs from Frank xxxxxxxx

It's so nice to have grass between your toes, isn't it Miss P? Especially in the middle of winter.

Payton, I'm so jealous of your indoor potty. Roaming out in the fresh air and sniffing all the grass and trees is only fun when the weather's nice. I'd love to have my own little indoor potty zone to go in when it's raining, or snowing, or just too puggin' cold outside. I can't really complain this year though - it's been totally warm out, especially for February which my 'rents always say is one of the more brutal months. Let's hope this nicer weather sticks around for a while longer!

-Love,
Sid.
