Happy (belated) New Year!

Hi everyone!  I've missed you all so much!  Sorry I've been away for so long.  I had planned to start blogging about my holiday fun and adventures right after the first of the New Year, but when we got back from Chicago, my mom developed a nasty head cold.  Then just as she was feeling better and starting to sort through all of the cool pictures, she got the stomach flu and is just starting to feel like herself.  I was worried about her when she was up all night and kept looking for her to see if she was ok.  I'm usually a velcro pug and know when she isn't feeling good, but even I had to stay away from all that.

Well, you can imagine how bored I've been.  We've both been doing a lot of napping and that's about it.  But now that mom is on the mend and the fog is finally lifting from her brain, look out!  Starting next week we are going to post every day *hopefully* until we've talked about all of the exciting things from the holidays.  There's so much to share that I think it might take a full 2 weeks!  We're calling it our "Holiday Rewind", so stay tuned!  Until then, check out these cute pictures of me keeping mom company on the couch.

Told you we were doing a lot of napping.  I didn't want my mom to feel bad, so I had to join in.  Have a great weekend!

Love,
Payton

PS.  Don't worry Lola, Frank, and Minnie & Mack, I'll be claiming the awards just after I finish all the holiday recap stuff!  Thanks so much for thinking about me!

Wow you definitely look tired here! I'm sorry your mom hasn't been feeling good! I hope she's feeling better now... :) It was nice of you to join in with her and make her feel good about taking naps.. everyone deserves a good nap now and again, and sometimes several times a day (especially when you're sick!!) :)

Miss P, we have been a little worried. But since Gampy is now in the 'hood we felt reassured since he hadn't put up any red flags. Anyhoo, we missed you.

Scarlet is an excellent nurse when we're not feeling well ~ napping and cuddles make everyone feel better.

Looking forward to hearing about your holidays!!! And we're very glad To hear your Mom is all better.

Payton, I'm sure your sleeping along with your mom made all the difference to her and got her back on the road to recovery! It looks like it was a difficult job, but you were totally fantastic at it!

Missed you so freaking much. We recently lost our friend to PDE...: <
We read everything we could find on your blog and Google. You give all of pugs with/without PDE hope and love. Thank you, Payton. We look forward reading your blog 2012 and many more years to come.

Sammy and Neko, that just makes my heart sad. I'm so sorry to hear about another pug that lost their battle. If it's not too late, maybe he/she can help others by becoming part of a research program. Dr. Kimberly Greer (link found upper left sidebar) could use more subjects. I have asked my mom and dad to donate my body to her research when I pass.
Love,
Payton
PS. Missed you both too!

Woo hoo, Payton's back!

I can't wait to read about all your adventures. I'm sorry to hear your mom got so sick after the holidays - definitely not fun. Sounds like you nursed her back to health, though. We pugs have medicinal qualities. :)

Sid
