Deep Thoughts…nicknames

Recently, many commented on The Daily Puglet that they didn’t always have the same name. And then in Chicago, I met a rescue pug “officially” called Major, but not only did he have a pervious name, he now has so many nicknames that he’s so confused and only comes when called Puppy Puppy. I have to admit that I have my fair share of nicknames (some quite embarrassing) which don’t much resemble my real name.
  • Miss P
  • Little lady
  • Toot McGee
  • Cone the Destroyer
  • Honey Bunny
  • Angel of Love
  • Turd Ferguson (SNL Jeopardy reference)
  • Pugita
  • Stretchy Stretcherson
I could probably go on and on.  And our humans wonder why we [sometimes] act like we don’t understand a word they are saying! So what are your craziest and fondest nicknames?

Love,
Payton

Hey Payton its Trunks! Thanks for the good Juju from the Daily puglet! I've been following you too since you started blogging so keep up the good work! Here are few names that mom calls me:
Chunky Butt
Chunky Monkey Butt
Snuggly Wuggley Bear
BooBoo
Trunkie Monkey
Little Man

And she wonders why I don't respond when she calls my name!

You have so many nicknames, Payton! No wonder you are so confused. Momma calls me Tiffy Girl or just Girl. This comes from my foster mom, Auntie Nancy who called me Baby Girl. I really don't respond to any name but I do respond to the sound of the refrigerator opening and/or a package being opened!

Ha ha ha, we are laughing at Tiffy!

Hu-mom calls me Minnie-fer (rhymes with Jennifer). Hu-dad calls me puppy-sita. We just call Mack, Mr. Mack or pug!

Your nick names are really funny!

Drools and licks,

Okays.... ready for this ones.......

FIrst let me say I am a tall pug. I am 2 inches taller than your typical pug. I have never met a pug as big as me. If Mum had a dollar for everytime people on the street say "man that is a big pug" we would be rich and living the life of luxury. I weigh in at 38 lbs. Mum can hardly lifts me without putting her back outs. You gets the picture right?

Sooooo what is the nickname Mum uses on me 95% of the time...... SMALL GUY!!!!!!!! She calls me "her little small guy"

Pfft.... I dunno if Mum is blind or whats but hello.... I ain't a "small guy"!

Payton, or should I say Pugita, you sure have some funny nicknames. My pugrents often call me "Hootha" (among other things). I think it is because my full name is Siddhartha, and they started saying it in funny ways like Siddootha. Then for brevity's sake they pared it down to just Hootha. I'm also called "Lick-a-deus" because I do this compulsive licking thing sometimes and it all started when my mom and dad were watching the movie Amadeus. Love, Sid.

Oh Payton, where to begin. I have a whole list on my blog.
Scaredy Kitty, Kitty Boo, Krazy Kitty, Moo Moo, Lean and Mean.
Stinky Butt, ChunkerPug, Pugsy Mugsy, CocoPouf, Black Velvet (the muzzle), Curious Co, Spider Pug, Poo Mouth.
Our call to action is hearing the TV turn off (it makes a little musical noise), and smelling a banana being peeled in the kitchen. These two things wake us from the most sound sleep.
